Before chemical exfoliants such as AHAs, there was gommage. Gommage…
Did you know the Korres Wild Rose line has been around for 20 years? And to think I had never tried it until a few months ago. What makes it so special is, obviously, the rose extract in the formula that is packed with Vitamin C.
Korres Wild Rose products are known for their brightening and tone-correcting properties, like Wild Rose Targeted Tone Corrector. Some people, me included, use this all over their face like a serum, others use it as a target spot treatment on hyperpigmentation and dark spots.
The scent is fantastic too, it’s a floral rose that isn’t too overpowering and really just soothes. This sinks into the skin real quick and I have noticed a slight “lightening effect” on my age spots using this just over a month. It’s also supposed to help prevent getting MORE age spots!
But the real showstopper is this limited release Brightening Facial Oil. Like, come on, there are legit rose petals in here. I feel really fancy schmancy when I use this.
The scent, like the Tone Corrector, is floral but light. And I find the oil is one of the “drier” oils that I have tried. I don’t go to bed with oil all over my face, it just really sinks in. This is a great oil to use during warmer months for sure.
So far so good, I have been using the Brightening Oil as Step #2 in my nightly skincare routine (right after the Tone Corrector), and my skin is just glowing. The dark spots on my face seem a bit lighter and I haven’t noticed any new ones even after some serious sun exposure this month.
This Korres Wild Rose duo may be my first intro to the Korres brand, but it certainly won’t be the last. I believe the Tone Corrector is available everywhere Korres is sold but I have heard the special edition Oil with the rose petals is a Shoppers exclusive.
