An introduction to Rocky Mountain Soap face care

An introduction to Rocky Mountain Soap face care

I first heard about Rocky Mountain Soap about 7 years ago, and have been slightly obsessed ever since. This Canadian company focuses on natural, toxin-free products made in small batches by hand. Most of my experiences with the brand has been through their bar soap (I have tried about 10 different types, so ask me anything) and their amazing foot butter.

So of course when I had the opportunity to try some of their facial care through the Canadian Beauty Bloggers network, obviously I said heeeeck yes.

Rocky Mountain Soap Juicy Orange Facial Soap

Juicy Orange Facial Bar – $5.50 CAD
Now I don’t usually use bar soap on my face, but I figured let’s give this a shot. The scent of this is AMAZING. It’s very citrusy with a touch of floral because of the orange oil and calendula in the formula. I lathered this up in my hands and rubbed over my face for about 30 seconds and it actually removed all my makeup and left my skin feeling quite soft, not tight at all!

Rocky Mountain Soap Bamboo Brightening Face Polish

Bamboo Brightening Face Polish – $17.50 CAD
This physical exfoliant uses french green clay, eucalyptus and tea tree mixed with cane sugar and bamboo to create one of the most effective exfoliating powders I have ever used. I mixed it with water to create a paste but you can also mix with honey, yogurt, oil or cream to make your own custom blend. This might be a bit harsh for sensitive skin as it has microdermabrasion-level exfoliating.

Rocky Mountain Soap Aloe Honey Hydrating Face Mask

Aloe & Honey Hydrating Face Mask – $13.50 CAD
A red kaolin clay based powder that you mix with water to create a hydrating and balancing mask. I added a bit extra water to create a thinner texture mask because I hate the tight feeling clay masks leave.

I left this on for about 10 minutes then removed with some witch hazel and a cotton pad and my skin was GLOWING! It even cleared up a few dry patches and a blemish on my chin.

Rocky Mountain Soap face care review

Overall I am thrilled with the Rocky Mountain Soap face care line! I am currently eyeing their limited holiday scent, Vanilla Candy Cane, and the London Fog bar soap. (They even sell some of their soap in slabs that you can cut yourself, to save on packaging!)
