Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Blonde and Taupe comparison

Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Blonde and Taupe comparison

A few months ago when I did a comparison of Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Blonde and Auburn and a few other brow products, I had no idea it would be one of my most popular posts. I feel like there are a lot of you out there who are in this brow struggle with me. So today I bring you Dipbrow in Blonde vs. the new shade Taupe.

Blonde on the left, taupe on the right. It’s hard to see the differences when they are in the pot. You can tell the Blonde is a bit warmer.

Blonde on the left, taupe on the right. Side by side, Taupe is slightly darker and has a bit more grey to it. But still not significantly different.

Just another angle and different lighting to show the very small differences.

But you can tell the difference now, right??

Taupe (on the left) may be only slightly darker but it makes a subtle difference on my brows. I find taupe to be almost an exact match for my existing (almost non-existant) brow hair. Whereas, Blonde is slightly lighter.

HOW I USE BOTH:
Taupe is great for outlining and filling in the sparser areas. Blonde is good to fill in where there is already a lot of hair. I like using both for a more natural, dimensional look.

So if you already have Blonde, you’re good. But if you have to decide between the two, I hope I have helped!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade is now available in 8 shades at $23 CAD each.

Great comparison! I use Auburn but I’m thinking the medium brown might be closest to my natural brow color. I use Auburn since I dye my hair red.

  • Great comparison post, Julie! I think this will help a lot of people unsure of which one to buy. I have dark brown hair but minimal brows, so I use Blonde. I really love it!

  • Interesting, I’ve never seen this product before. Taupe looks really nice on your brows!

  • really helpful comparison cause yeah in the pot those look exactly the same!

  • I’ve been wanting to try this for some time but haven’t made the plunge on it. It definitely will take forever to get through!

  • Taupe has the grey cast to it that the infamous MAC Omega shadow has. Hmmmm… I currently wear Blonde because frankly I didn’t know any better, but it has a weird colour to it that can make my eyebrows look like pea soup. (mmm tasty)

    Thanks for the comparison!

    • It is a lot like Omega, agree! I was trying to put my finger on what the Blonde formula looks like on my brows before it dries, and yes.. PEA SOUP!

  • This is a super helpful comparison, Julie! I’ve been using the Brow Powder Duo in Taupe for years and have been curious about this new cream formula- looks like Taupe will still be a good match 🙂

    • I think Taupe would be good for you! The Blonde may work too since your hair is lighter than mine but it is BLONDE blonde gelcream.

  • Thanks for the comparison!! I’ve been really curious about this formula 🙂

On me the blonde turns a red-ish color after a few minutes. Since my hair is a cool blonde it looks weird. Taupe is a little bit darker but looks much more natural.

I was just trying to decide which to buy and your post helped me a lot. Taupe it is. Thanks!

  • So I’m running low on my Blonde dipbrow and was like… I really need to look at comparing this to Taupe. So I googled image searched it and up popped your brows. And yeah I’m totally sold on taupe now. I need that grey tinge since my brows (what little I do actually have) are definitely not as warm as the Blonde one. Thaaaaank you for the comparison! (I realize I’ve commented on this already… I’m just glad I remembered there was a taupe from your post!)

    • Lol yeaaaaa Google image search for the win! I’m finding the taupe to be a bit light for my darker Winter hair, so I may try out the Soft Brown next!
