Bouncy eyeshadows may not be new, but these bouncy Soft Serve…
Over the past few months, I have become glow obsessed! I remember seeing the Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kits when they were first released and literally gasping. So of course when these hit the Sephora site, I scooped one up to play with.
GLOW KIT IN GLEAM
Of the two kits, I grabbed the one that had more bronzey pinks (vs. That Glow which is more golden). These pans are quite big, even bigger than a MAC blush – ABH is 0.26 oz and MAC is 0.21 oz.
Photographed in natural light. Each shade has a bit of a shift, from bronze to pink mostly.
Hard Candy: A mood-changing golden peach with a pink pearl reflective finish.
Starburst: A rush of cool pink with an iridescent finish.
Crushed Pearl: A glimmering pink and silver with a crystalized chrome finish.
Mimosa: A radiant golden peach with a metallic finish.
Hard Candy is probably my favourite of the bunch, I mean if I had to choose. It shifts from peach to pink to a purple shimmer. The rest all have an underlying warm gold base as well that gives them a duochrome quality.
In natural daylight using flash. All four shades really pack on the glow without leaving ANY fallout too. The formula is smooth and nicely pigmented and feels buttery on the skin.
Wearing Hard Candy on the cheeks and Starburst on the cheekbones. I noticed a crazy pink reflection on my cheek when I turned my head in daylight, it was awesome!
Wearing Mimosa on the cheeks and in the hollows of my cheekbones and Crushed Pearl on the top of the cheekbones. This look is a bit more bronzed but has just as much glow.
So if you’re looking for a set of amazing highlight shades (and some can be used as luminous bronze or blush), I would definitely suggest picking up one of these ABH Glow Kits.
