MAC Cosmetics Star Trek: Pressed Pigment in Bird of Prey + Superslick Liquid Eyeliner in On the Hunt
If you want your lids to sparkle like the stars,…
THE SOPHISTICATE is the more neutral of all 10. It has the least amount of sparkle and shimmer and for me will get the most amount of use. The packaging is extremely high quality with rose gold accents and an adorable etched star on the mirror.
The formula has a slight shimmer but is buttery as can be and highly blendable. Each shade has a specific purpose, as demonstrated below:
Shown above is the day look, using the top row of colours only. (full day look post here)
This adds beautiful soft warm definition to the crease and lid without being too bold. On my skin, which is starting to get crepe-y in the lid area, this just glides over it and actually blurs any imperfections.
For night, I just add the bottom row of shades, using the Smoke colour in the outer V, into the crease and on the upper and lower lashline. Then I pat the Pop shade on the lid.
Desk to disco in minutes! (full day to night post here)
These are not too sheer OR too bold, they are just soft and simple to work with. There is a slight luminosity to the formula without it being shimmer.
Using all four shades really brings out the slight blue tint in my eyes. It opens up the eye area and really draws focus.
