I’m dropping a little beauty science on you today! Avon…
Only 34 days until spring. 34 days more of this blustery, freezing cold bone-chilling winter. Just think of it, longer days, warmer nights, brighter colours…
And of course, Spring makeup collections! You may recall my post profiling the gorgeous Clarins Garden Escape collection, and here it is!
Clarins Instant Light Lip Balm Perfector in Coral – $22 CAD
“A smooth, rich balm that enhances the lip’s natural beauty and radiance while offering a unique sensation of hydration and comfort after just the first application. A hybrid between a balm and a gloss that combines transparent colour and wet look shine.”
Clarins Blush Prodige in Sweet Rose – $32 CAD
“A silky, lightweight powder blush containing the perfect combination of mineral and plant extracts. Adds colour and luminosity to cheeks for an instant, healthy-looking glow.”
Seriously though, the texture of this powder blush is dreamy. It’s soft, not too pigmented and easy to blend.
Swatched the light shade, darker shade and then swirled together. This is a gorgeous warm rose that leans a bit peach. If I want extra shimmer, I lightly pat some of the lighter shimmer shade on the apples of my cheeks.
Clarins 6-Colour Eye Palette in Garden Escape – $44 CAD
“A palette of 6 wet & dry, long-wearing and smoothing eyeshadows with a silky, mineral texture. The variety of satin and iridescent textures give a range of different looks.”
And if the design of these shadows didn’t pull you in immediately, the shades themselves should:
– Sparkling luminous white
– Satin medium fir green
– Satin light fir green
– Satin vibrant pink
– Satin peach-pink
– Satin light brown
Lid – light green in the centre, transitioning out to the dark green in the outer V.
Tearduct – I used the vibrant pink moving towards the tearduct and transitioned to the lighter pink.
Crease – I used the light brown over the whole crease with a hint of the dark green near the outer corner.
Browbone – Luminous light under the brow and blending out the crease.
Yep, I used all 6 shadows!
What I like most is that this palette is a COMPLETE look. Sure you can change it up a focus more on greens or pinks, but by using all 6 colours I was able to achieve a simple eye look that has depth and character.
The Clarins Garden Escape collection is limited edition and available now. In Canada, you can grab this at The Bay!
