You’ve got two days left to finish up your holiday…
The Clarins Spring 2016 collection is all about giving you that Instant Glow. From soft shimmers to flattering shades of pink, you’ll be able to create bright, cheery and natural looks as we head into the warmer weather.
“Feeling luminous, fresh and radiant isn’t a matter of age… It’s all about GLOW!”
The Clarins 5-Colour Eyeshadow Palette in Natural Glow comes in a sturdy rose gold cardboard palette. It’s not bulky making it perfect to bring with you anywhere.
It comes with a handy guide in case you don’t know where to start, but these shades are neutral and universally flattering, so you really can’t go wrong.
The palette consists of soft and sparkling shadows enriched with plant extracts and minerals. Like all Clarins makeup, there is an element of skincare and nourishment. Shades are: iridescent beige, matte beige, iridescent bronze, marron glace, satin brown.
The first shade has a lot of shimmer and sparkle to it without being gritty. This is perfect in the inner corner of the eye or even as a hit of highlight on the top of the cheekbone. The matte beige works well to blend and as a browbone shade. And the 3 bottom shades work perfectly together to create a sculpted eye look.
If you’ve never tried Clarins Rouge Eclat lipstick, you’re definitely in for a treat. These give you smooth, supple lips with a hit of shine. The formula contains really nourishing plant waxes like mimosa, jojoba and sunflower.
The lipsticks in the Instant Glow collection are really an ode to the colour pink. All four shades (of which I have two) light up your complexion in a beautiful way. The shade 23 Hot Rose has almost a glaze texture and leaves a beautiful cool-toned hot pink on the lips.
25 Pink Blossom is a more delicate pink that still has a bit of a glow but is more subdued.
Both lipsticks leave a subtle shine, and this one feels less like a glaze and more like a satin lipstick. These are really lightweight and comfortable.
Swatched 2x each, the finish is translucent to opaque and although both look similar on the skin they read differently on the lips.
Look 1: wearing Hot Rose and all shades of the Natural Glow Eye Palette.
I used the 3 shimmers to create a sculpted look with the darkest shade on the lash line.
I finished off with a pop of highlight in the inner corner and the matte beige under the brow.
Look 2: Wearing Pink Blossom and only two shades from the Natural Glow Eye Palette.
Using only the “marron glace” shade, I blended it on the lid and up into the crease.
I then used the matte beige to transition from crease to brow. This gave me a subtle, natural shimmery look on the eye.
The Clarins Instant Glow Spring 2016 collection is available now. The Eye Palette is limited edition but the lipsticks are permanent.
