Finally, a subscription service for all us gym addicts out…
As promised, I’m back with week two of the DAVIDsTEA 24 Days of Tea Advent Calendar. This week has some old classics I already love and some new faves!
(Want to see week 1? Right this way please!)
Day 8: Buddha’s Blend
White tea, medium caffeine
A fave from last year, this is light and floral and definitely calming. Although it has a medium level of caffeine, I still like to sip on this while relaxing.
Ingredients: White tea, green tea, jasmine pearls, white hibiscus blossoms, natural and artificial flavouring.
Day 9: Forever Nuts
Fruit tea, no caffeine
This one is a delicious blend of sweet, tangy and nutty. There’s no actually tea in this, just dried fruit and nuts. I kinda want to eat it every time I brew Forever Nuts.
Ingredients: Apple, almonds, cinnamon, beetroot, artificial flavouring.
Day 10: Walnut Orange Scone
White tea, low caffeine
New this year, the Walnut Orange Scone blend is a new fave! The delicate taste of white tea goes really well with tangy papaya and apple blended with rosehip and orange blossoms. The walnuts don’t really come through too strongly but you can sense the nutty aroma.
Ingredients: Papaya, white tea, apple (apple, citric acid), rosehip peel, walnuts, orange peel, orange blossoms, natural and artificial walnut and orange flavouring.
Day 11: Alpine Punch
No caffeine, rooibos
So I couldn’t actually get this little tin open. BUT, I did try this last year and it’s a beautiful blend of coconut, spices, florals and tangy rooibos.
Ingredients: Rooibos, coconut chips (coconut, coconut fat, sugar), coconut rasps, apple, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, black pepper, rose blossoms, almonds, natural and artificial almond cream flavouring.
Day 12: Coffee Pu’erh
Pu’erh, medium caffeine
I add a touch of almond milk and some honey to this, just like I do my morning coffee. A great alternative!
Ingredients: Pu’erh tea, roasted coffee beans, natural coffee, almond and vanilla flavouring.
Day 13: Organic Cinnamon Rooibos Chai
Rooibos, no caffeine
Another new favourite, this tastes (and smells) like apple pie. It has that tangy flavour of apples mixed with spicy cinnamon. I like adding a bit of brown sugar to it to really play up that ‘pie’ feel.
Ingredients: Organic: Rooibos, apple, cinnamon. With natural cinnamon flavouring.
Day 14: Lemon Pound Cake
Oolong, low caffeine
New and another favourite! This is absolutely delicious. It has a very strong citrus taste, tangy and almost sour. But the backdrop of florals and “cake” flavouring makes it very unique.
Ingredients: Oolong tea, lemongrass, lemon peel, sunflower blossom, white hibiscus blossom, natural and artificial pound cake and lemon flavour.
What are your faves from this week? I’ll be back next Friday with another seven teas!
