My German swap pal Sabrina has done it again and sent over one of the most amazing Essence collections I have ever seen. The Cookies and Cream trend edition brings some sweet and frosty looks as well as some amazing (new-to-me) products from Essence.
FOR THE FIRST LOOK I USED:
Essence Macaron C’est Bon baked eyeshadow – a frosty white pink that leans almost lilac. Perfect for highlighting.
Essence So Hot Donut baked eyeshadow – a medium warm gold taupe. Good for the lid and transition.
Essence Last Night a Cookie Saved My Life baked eyeshadow – A darker taupe brown that works to define the eye.
Macaron C’est Bon near the tearduct and under the browbone.
So Hot Donut, lid to crease.
Last Night a Cookie Saved My Life crease and outer V.
These are smooth, pigmented and easy to blend. Not too shimmery and not too powdery.
Essence Cake Pop That’s Top baked blush on my cheeks- a hot coral pink shimmer blush. It’s pigmented, buttery and soft as can be!
Essence Macaron C’est Bon lipgloss on my lips (matching shade to the eyeshadow of the same name) – a light creamy pink with gold shimmer.
The shimmer isn’t too prevalent, just a hint!
A very pale gloss, more just for shine than anything.
The finished look using all the products above!
I used Macaron C’est Bon eyeshadow as cheekbone highlight too! The shimmer from the blush accentuates pores a bit, but who cares… I love it anyway!
FOR LOOK #2 I kept it simple:
Essence Last Night a Cookie Saved My Life jumbo eye pencil (same name as baked eyeshadow, similar color) – a chocolate taupe brown shadow pencil.
Last Night a Cookie Saved My Life jumbo pencil used lid into crease, added definition to crease with Urban Decay Nooner from the Naked 3 palette.
The pencil is surprisingly soft and pigmented. It has a more subtle shimmer than the baked eyeshadows.
Essence One Sweet Day shimmer pearls – a subtle pinky-bronze shimmer. (And now I’m singing Mariah Carey…)
Finished look #2! Jumbo pencil on the eyes (as shown above) and only the shimmer pearls lightly on the cheeks and more heavily under my cheekbones.
I absolutely love how much of a soft, warm glow the shimmer pearls give!

Essence Cake Pop That’s Top baked blush and One Sweet Day shimmer pearls (when swatched these barely show up – click for full size to see)
Cookies and Cream hand balm (pictured in main image only) – a non-greasy cookie-scented hand lotion. It is fairly hydrating and the scent is light, but it still makes me hungry.
MY THOUGHTS: I LOVE the baked eyeshadow and blush formula Essence has put out (they released this once before last summer with the Me & My Ice Cream collection). Think MAC Mineralize. The Shimmer Pearls are also quite impressive. Overall, this collection is a hit and I really hope it makes its way to Canada!
EDIT: Confirmed on April 21 through Essence’s Twitter account – this will hit Shoppers Drug Mart stores in June! HOORAY CANADA!
