Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Summer 2016 collection review

Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Summer 2016 collection review

Every year, I grab a few pieces from the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess collection. But this year… well the collection is irresistible!

Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess 2016 Summer Glow Illuminator review 2

SUMMER GLOW ILLUMINATOR
A luminous peachy, champagne liquid shimmer highlight.

Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess 2016 Summer Glow Illuminator review 3

This is very similar in formula to Benefit’s High Beam, but it’s warmer and a bit more universal. It adds warmth and shimmer to pale skin and would do the same for really any skintone. I used a stippling brush to apply this on the tops of my cheekbones and I was glowing to the high heavens.

Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess 2016 Gelee Bronzer review

GELEE BRONZER
I received this liquid bronzer from Estee’s PR and after doing a bunch of research, I cannot find it for sale anywhere. In fact, it seems this was released last year? Regardless, this is a beautiful sheer liquid matte bronze that adds a nice hit of sun and blends out well. I’m typically scared of bronzers in general, especially cream or liquid, but this is awesome!

Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess 2016 Lip Cheek summer Glow Fuchsia Lights review

LIP & CHEEK SUMMER GLOW in FUCHSIA LIGHTS
Dual-ended, with cream colour on one end and shiny lip gloss on the other. You can use the cream shade for lip and cheeks, and it works well for both!

The gloss side leaves behind a non-tacky translucent red tint. There’s no detectable scent either.

The cream side is sheer and quite hydrating. I really like it blended on the cheeks, and it applies really well with a Beautyblender. This give a flush ofcolour and although it isn’t particularly longwearing, it does wear well for at least 6 hours.

I like to layer the cream and lip gloss together, like in the pic above. The cream is a bit difficult to apply directly from the tube, but it’s great with a lip brush.

Swatched 2x each under studio light. I still can’t get over how perfect the liquid bronzer is!

Wearing all the above products in this look, I was able to add a ton of colour to my normally Winter pale skin. I sponged the bronzer on my cheeks on nose, dabbed some of the cream blush on the apples of my cheeks and stippled the liquid shimmer on the top of my cheekbones. I’m also wearing the Lip & Cheek glow on my lips. This gave me a dewy, bronzed look!

Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess 2016 Summer Glow Multi Palette review

SUMMER GLOW MULTI-PALETTE
Now this is the real show stopper. This highlight, blush and contour palette is one of the prettiest limited edition pieces I have seen in a long time. I usually reserve my adoration for MAC, but this Estee Lauder palette WINS!

Each pan has a beautiful geometric pattern, and keep this in mind when swatching because the heavily pressed powders will go on sheer.

The highlight shade is a beautiful pale champagne. The texture reminds me of MAC Extra Dimension powders as it leaves a gorgeous subtle foiled look behind.

Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess 2016 Summer Glow Multi Palette blush

The blush shade is a very pretty neutral pink, again fairly sheer but it leaves a beautiful flush.

The bronze/contour shade may be a bit warm but it’s great for adding a hint of warmth to fair skin and I actually really like it as an eye contour shade!

Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess 2016 eyes 2

For one of my recent reviews, I paired a MAC beige shimmer pigment (on the lid) with the pink blush shade (on the outer corner and in the crease) as well as the bronze shade (in the crease to transition). You can create a really subtle neutral eye look with this palette giving you a hint of depth and dimension.

Swatched heavily 2x so you can see the shades. The highlight shade isn’t chalky or overdone, just really sheer and pretty. The blush has a slight luminosity to it, and again not chalky at all. The bronze shade is a bit more sheer than I would like though.
