Etude House Minnie Mouse Touch Highlighter review

Etude House Minnie Mouse Touch Highlighter review

As much as I hate to admit it, I’m super girly deep down inside. So when I stumbled on the Etude House XOXO Minnie Mouse collection while browsing through RoseRoseShop.com, I couldn’t resist! Although this collection consists of 16 adorable pieces, I narrowed my choice down to the Etude House XOXO Minnie Touch Highlighter.

Etude House Minnie Mouse Touch Highlighter packaging
The package design is really sweet and not too childish.

It’s about palm-size with lots of product, but unfortunately this compact doesn’t have a mirror.

The XOXO Minnie Touch Highlighter has 3 pearly shades to brighten up and highlight your skin.
The face is a white, peach pearl with natural glitter to help balance colour.
The ears and bow is a lilac purple pearl to illuminate.
And the background is a light pink pearl to enhance the highlighting effect.

Look at that adorable face! I’m not sure the purple goes all the way through the compact yet. I was going to dig into her, but I just couldn’t do it! (so if you have this powder, let me know!)

All 3 shades swirled and blended. It’s buttery and fairly pigmented (a bit powdery though). Gives a nice lilac sheen.

Shown here on the top of my cheekbones. As you can see it is a subtle highlight that accentuates my pores just a wee bit.

My thoughts: Let’s be honest, initially I bought this for the design. I didn’t really need any new highlighters at the time but now after testing this, it is quite different than the bronze, gold and pink highlighters I have. The lilac colour really works to highlight and illuminate my skin.

You can grab the Etude House XOXO Minnie Touch Highlighter at RoseRoseShop for $12 USD!

  • Don’t like the cool tone color but LOVE the design! <3

I have never seen a highlighter that is a lilac color. Pretty!

    • MAC actually makes a non-shimmer correcting powder in lilac (I did a review a few months back). It’s actually the perfect colour for fair skin to just illuminate without shimmer!

  • Very pretty! I love that it’s lilac toned 🙂

    • I don’t know why brands don’t do MORE lilac highlighters! It’s such a beautiful shade.

  • Looks really cute in the palette and on!

  • Oh my gosh, it’s adorable! And so pretty on!

  • gives off a beautiful lilac glow on your skin!

    • It’s super shimmery but doesn’t have a lot of glitter migration which I like

  • o thats different. i dont think i’ve seen a lilac highlighter before. i quite like it!

  • This is super cute packaging. I never would have thought to add lilac to a highlghter, but it’s very pretty.

    • Technically purple is the best color to illuminate skin. It only makes sense!

This would be stored in the “too pretty to use” category…

  • This is one of the few products I did NOT pick up from this collection because I’m just not into highlighters – yet! But it is super adorable.
The product itself sounds really good, and it looks great on you.

  • This is so cute, I wouldn’t want to use it!

  • It’s so cute and looks great on you too!

I have this and sigh, have not used it yet and yes I too bought it for the packaging (it’s Minnie! Who can resist?!), but the highlight looks lovely on you!
