If you’re flossy, flossy like the glamorous Fergie, you’d probably…
The latest fragrance from Marc Jacobs is quite different than what we’re used to from the brand. Decadence isn’t flirty or girly or playful, it’s downright sophisticated and sexy.
Even the packaging just shows how truly unique this scent is. From its faux croc lid to its gold chain and tassel embellishment to its purse-like design, I have never ever seen a perfume bottle quite like this.
And it photographs so beautifully… I think I’ll share a few more.
Top notes: Italian plum, saffron and iris
Heart: Bulgarian rose, Sambac jasmine and orris root
Base: Warm liquid amber, vetiver and papyrus wood
I can really smell the plum on first spray but it quickly wears down to make way for a hint of saffron and a big punch of amber. The florals are subtle and almost creamy and they weave in and out of the experience over time. After a couple hours, the amber and vetiver are all you can really smell, but there is still a very small whisper of floral coming through in the most delicate way.
I like this scent quite a bit as it feels like a grown-up floral. It wears on well on me for 5-6 hours and ends up being quite velvety. It did give me a bit of a headache, as do all perfume with rose, but just a small spray is ok for me.
Marc Jacobs Decadence is available in rollerball and two purse-shaped sprays.
