MAC is teaming up with Chris Chang from the fashion…
Today’s look is all about CoverGirl glam! I received a bunch of new-to-me products from the brand and decided to put a warm-toned natural look together perfect for at work, on a date or even sitting at home snuggled up on the couch.
I started with the CoverGirl truBlend Face Primer for Combo Skin. This really does create a smooth canvas for makeup application and helps hydrate any dry patches while keeping oily t-zones mattified. Also available for dry or oily skin.
After applying my foundation (Bourjois Healthy Mix) I applied the truBlend Bronzer in Bronze to give myself that healthy glow I’ve been missing during the colder months. This marbled bronzer has a sheer shimmer finish.
Now onto blush, the truBlend Blush in Medium Rose. This gorgeous marbled baked blush is also available in light and dark. The finish is comparable to a MAC Mineralize blush so obviously this rises to the top of my list of faves.
Now onto the eyes. I used about five shades from the truNaked Eyeshadow Palette in Roses to create a warm pinky champagne eye look. I’d compare the shade range to Urban Decay Naked 3, and the formula is on par too as it’s very smoother and pigmented. truNaked palettes also come in Nudes, Golden, Jewels.
As you can see, there were enough complementary shades in the palette to create a gradient neutral eye with a lot of depth. I even used the darker plum shade on the upper and lower lashline, which I never do.
There was also very little fallout with this formula, only a bit with the more shimmery shades.
In the Winter months, I usually reach for a tinted balm to keep my lips hydrated. The Colorlicious Oh! Sugar Vitamin Infused Balm are a hybrid tint, balm and treatment that come in 10 fresh citrus scents. The formula uses thin oils so application feels almost gel-like.
I did have to swipe about four times to get this colour payoff but gosh are these pretty on the lips.
This is the shade Jelly, a light cool-toned pink. I swiped twice to get this level of colour, and as you can see it is super shiny without feathering!
And here’s the final look! I am really impressed with how everything came together, and most products are $10 and under (according to the Walmart site).
