Brows… oh how I miss thee! Will Maybelline’s new Brow…
I am a bit obsessed with Kat Von D Beauty’s Shade + Light Eye Contour Quads… in fact I have all of them. Including the new colour combo in Fawn! Currently only available on KVD’s site in an eyeshadow and lip set, the Fawn quad is probably the most neutral in the collection.
Like the others that came before, the packaging is a small plastic compact with beveled edges. Perfect for travel!
The quad comes with a large “base” that I use as transition, a dark shade to define, a medium matte shade for contour and a light matte highlight.
This new release feels a bit silkier than before. Is it possible they improved the formula? These swatches are 2x swipes and you can see the pigmentation with no fall out.
And these blend out like a dream! I applied the white highlight from lid to browbone, then used the “base” as a transition shade. The deepest shade has a bit of shimmer to it, but you can’t really see it here in the outer V.
And that brown matte contour shade is a perfect crease transition. I patted on a bit more white highlight on the lid to complete the look … aaaand done in about 5 minutes.
Seriously, this quad, a Smith cosmetics blending brush and a MAC 217 are the perfect combo for a well-blended everyday neutral look. I wasn’t kidding when I said this took about 5 minutes.
Shown here in natural light paired with Fresh Sugar Poppy lip tint, the Kat Von D Shade + Light Quad in Fawn is just perfect.
