Ipsy Glam Bag February 2014 review

The theme for this month’s Glam Bag is “The Look of Love”. It’s everything you need for a perfect date night look! Here’s what is in my bag this month:

I love the colour. I don’t love how streaky this was. I needed 3 coats to get it to even out and become opaque.

POP Beauty Peony Petal lip gloss
POP Beauty Plump Pout mini in Peony Petal – high shine and lightweight. Unscented as well. Use code PoppingPout to get 25% off at PopBeauty.com.

Very pigmented and glossy. I love the colour!

Nice shine and doesn’t feather too much. This is already in my purse!

Jesses Girl The Eyes Have It eyeshadow palette
Jesse’s Girl 9 pan eyeshadow palette in The Eyes Have It – co-ordinating shadows in a travel friendly case. Use code IPSYFEB2014 at JessesGirlCosmetics.com for 20% off.

I wasn’t extremely impressed with this palette. The darker colors are alright but the lighter ones are chalky. Also, it smells kinda cheap.

J Cat Beauty false eyelashes
J Cat Beauty false eyelashes – these are pretty cute, although I don’t wear false eyelashes.

Overall I am pretty happy with my glam bag this month. Although I know they’ve had J Cat eyelashes and Zoya polish in the bags before, plus the shadows are underwhelming. For $14.95 CAD (less if you’re in the US) it’s a pretty sweet deal though!

I got a very similar bag w/ different lash style and shade of polish. Everything else was different though. Definitely a good bag!

    • I’m pretty happy with the bag. Not my fave but still worth the money.

Oh how I regret cancelling Ipsy. Oh well =(

  • Love the first aid beauty cleanser and really dissapointed on the eye shadow !

    • I am just really particular what I use on my eyes as they are kind of sensitive. This smelled really cheap so I didn’t want to risk it.

We got the same bag! I probably won’t use the lashes either (I don’t need them). I was thinking of swapping the palette for the pink one but if it smells cheap then I might just pass this along to a younger cousin to play with.

    • I am so super picky about what I put on my eyes though. It smelled like cheap dollar store makeup to me but I know the quality is a bit better than that for the darker shades. LOVE the lip gloss though!

That gloss looks great on you! I was bummed when I didn’t get the pink/purple palette in my bag this month but I guess I’m not missing much in terms of quality. I can’t wait to get mine. Thanks for sharing what you got!

  • ooo the clay cleanser. that sounds like a winner.

Loved my ipsy bag this month too. Received a blush, zoya polish(light purple colour), the pop beauty lip gloss, an acne spot corrector, and a cream eye shadow!
