I’m pretty sure I have every single flavour of eos Lip…
The MAC Cosmetics Alluring Aquatic collection finally hit stores in North America this week. And wow is it ever selling out fast! I can understand why though… that packaging is droolworthy. I picked up the Goddess of the Sea cremesheen lipstick on a whim this weekend. No regrets!
Sirens of the deep inspire an aquascape of shades, as waves of tarnished olive, seafoam and darkened plum surrender to water’s enticing spirit. Under the sea, nails glisten in aquatic chrome and metallic Nail Lacquer, as Lipstick, Lipglass and Lip Pencil dive deep into colour. Limited-edition teal packaging, dramatically accented with sheer water droplets.
Goddess of the Sea cremesheen lipstick – described as dark vibrant violet.
Let’s all just take a moment to fawn over this 3D waterdroplet packaging. It’s a teal chrome tube with raised water drops. This is by far the most beautiful MAC packaging I have ever seen (and I have seen a lot).
The formula is creamy and hydrating, semi-opaque and appears on the lips almost as a glaze. I was able to get this applied evenly in 2 swipes and it didn’t feather too much on me. Wear time is maybe 4 hours max.
Shown here next to Plumful (Lustre from the permanent collection) which is a similar tone just a bit lighter with more shimmer and Glamourdaze (Cremesheen from Holiday 2012) which is warmer and more plum.
And this matches my favourite eyeshadow from The Body Shop perfectly!
