Channeling my Inner Wild Child with Kat Von D Metal Crush Eyeshadows in Black No. 1, Iggy and Raw Power
Did you see yesterday’s natural look by Kat Von D’s lead artist…
MAC Future Forward is back again this year, a collab with visionary, cutting-edge women that are shaping the future of music. The first of three releases is a sparkly purple powder from Justine Skye, an R&B singer out of Brooklyn.
“Brooklyn native and violet-haired R&B singer Justine Skye woos online audiences with her velvety voice and unstoppable presence. Her easy glamour and confident eclecticism come together in a bright purple-pink Iridescent Powder for those ready for as much colour and charisma as Skye herself.”
For size comparison, you can see this powder is HUGE compared to a MAC Extra Dimension Blush. And it’s about the same price, plus the compact comes with a mirror. Seriously great value on this.
The shade is described as a soft purple with pink pearl and it has the most lovely duochrome effect. This is a fairly heavy swatch to show the pigmentation, but it does go on fairly light and does not overwhelm even the palest of complexions (hi… me).
I used this on top of my blush, a bit lower than where I would typically place a highlight powder, and I think it looks fantastic. You can really use this in so many ways: as an eyeshadow, lip topper, blush topper, highlight.
The MAC Future Forward Justine Skye powder is available now for a limited time, $32 CAD (8g of product).
