MAC Cosmetics Instant Artistry: Eyeshadow Made Easy with Humid eyeshadow

MAC Cosmetics Instant Artistry: Eyeshadow Made Easy with Humid eyeshadow

MAC’s Instant Artistry videos are coming to life in Toronto! Now I watch these videos quite a bit to get some quick and simple tips from the pros, so I am pretty stoked to ask some questions and see these live and in person.

But first, let me take you through the Instant Artistry video I’ve been watching this week.

This may or may not work in IE 7 or 8 (I wrote the embed code for this myself – if it doesn’t work you can watch on the MAC site)

Step 1: Use a flat brush to apply a burst of colour to the lid.
Step 2: Switch to fluffly brush (I use MAC 224) and lightly blend out edges.
Step 3: Finish off with a mascara.

Now for my look I opted for a more subtle “pop” of colour, Humid shimmer eyeshadow. By applying a concentrated amount of the shadow of the lid and into the crease, I was able to use that product to blend upward with the fluffy brush into the browbone. That’s pretty much it, a 2 minute eye look (if you don’t count the brows).

Learn these tricks and more right from the pros at The Toronto Eaton Centre October 15-19 from 10am to 9pm each day.

There will be some stations where you can watch videos, one-on-one artists demos and Gordon Espinet (SVP at MAC) and Melissa Gibson will be there doing live demos Thurs-Sat!

I’ll be there Wednesday Oct 15 in the afternoon into the evening if you want to meet up!
