The Dior Summer 2016 Milky Dots collection has two of the…
Last week, I unveiled one of the newest additions to MAC’s permanent line-up, the “times nine” shadow palettes. And out of the four released, I received the Navy Times Nine! Now if you know me, you’d know that blue is way outside my purple comfort zone. I wouldn’t have picked this one out for myself… but… it’s really gorgeous, don’t you think?
Over the next few MAC Mondays, I am going to do a review “times three” of this palette: featuring a different look every week using 3 different shadows from the palette.
For reference, this palette contains mini shadows! It’s similar to the size of Yaby if you’re familiar, and the palette itself is about the size of a normal MAC quad.
At first I was going to do looks row by row, but as you can see from the swatches, it would make a very dull week #1. So I decided to make sure I incorporate at least one shade of blue in every look by going from top to bottom.
Using JG Gray on the lid and Cloudscape in the crease, I was able to get this very delicate pastel wash of colour. Both shades were fairly sheer and I had to pat on the lid colour a bit to build up the shimmer.
And I’ll be back next week with look #2, using one of my fave shadows, CLUB!
