I have about 15 different highlighting powders, but the one…
The MAC Cosmetics Pedro Lourenco collection hits stores this Thursday, and in my opinion these two metallic lipglass shades are the must-have items. (As is the Roxo lipstick).
Mirror – Described as a neutral silver, this actually has some shifting pigments to it. I spy some gold and some pinks.
On the wand, it really looks quite grey but it doesn’t go on like that.
This gives a gorgeous sheen and really plays up my already pink lips by turning them into almost a violet silver shade!
I find this to be subtle yet striking. It gives me an extremely accentuated glossy look.
Translucent metallic shimmer that isn’t grainy. I put this on a bit thick to show the reflective pigments (I dabbed it on). A bit tacky as is all lipglass.
Gold Mirror – described as neutral gold, I would even go as far to say this is more of an antique gold. I spy some yellower tones and even a hint of some silver shimmer. This is very multi-dimensional.
The Gold Mirror photographs beautifully on the wand. It is such a gorgeous shade.
This one was a bit more pigment packed compared to Mirror. I didn’t have to dab it on as much.
More dense pigmentation, still subtle. No grainy texture. High shine with a bit of that tacky feeling.
Because of the yellow tint to the pigments, this actually lessened the red in my lips. I can only image what it would do over a red lipstick!
Mirror vs. Gold Mirror in case you couldn’t decide (I say get both!)
I love these both almost equally, although I think Mirror looks a bit better with my complexion.
Interesting side note: Due to a manufacturing error, the Mirror and Gold Mirror were shipped in switched boxes. I’ve been told this error has been fixed, but make sure you check yours before leaving the store!
WILL YOU BE PICKING ANYTHING UP FROM THIS COLLECTION?
Yea… I did.
