MAC Cosmetics Sharon Osbourne Patentpolish Pencil in Ruby review

MAC Cosmetics Sharon Osbourne Patentpolish Pencil in Ruby review

She may be the feistiest Mom in showbiz but she’s also one of the most fashion-forward (in my opinion). Sharon Osbournes’ collection for MAC Cosmetics is natural and stunning. I only grabbed 1 piece during the online release, but I plan on getting more on Thursday when it hits stores!

(Check out my swatches of the Kelly Osbourne lipsticks)

MAC Cosmetics Sharon Osbourne packaging limited edition
PACKAGING:
Sharon’s line is all bold and sassy red, like her hair with a lavender signature (which matches Kelly’s packaging). The pencil is a twist up, thankfully, so no sharpening!

The Sharon Osbourne Ruby Patentpolish Lip Pencil is described as midtone rose.

FORMULA:
I have never used the new Patentpolish Lip Pencil formula, so this collection gave me a good excuse to test it out.

The colour and shine of a gloss, the precision of a lip pencil – all in one colour stick. A unique blend of creamy emollients replenishes moisture, keeping lips soft with an ultra-smooth texture that isn’t heavy or sticky.

This was a very sheer and glossy pencil. As soon as it heats up, it glides right on and doesn’t feather too much. It is really just leaves a nice glossy tint.

WEAR TIME:
A couple hours only because of the sheer glossy nature. But because of the ease of application, I love having this in my purse for touch-ups!

Now I definitely have my eye on more from the MAC Cosmetics x Sharon Osbourne collection, particularly the blush and MSF. What do you plan on picking up this Thursday?

  • This is a pretty looking colour. It’s interesting that it has a rounded tip instead of the traditional pencil or lipstick style.

    • Yea the product is a very strange hybrid of balm, gloss and tint. I like it but I can’t imagine any lighter colours being worthwhile.

Yeah I agree with Sarah, the rounded tip is a little strange. Maybe they were going for more of a chapstick type of application?

  • Very pretty colour 🙂 Although the packaging does look a little bit cheap, in my opinion.

    • I don’t disagree with you there. It’s just kinda cheap red plastic. I am on the fence with this one… do I like it, don’t I?

  • Very pretty!
