To celebrate 150 years of making us look good, Bourjois…
MAC Matte lipsticks are always highly pigmented and longwearing, so of course I had to show off at least a couple from The Matte Lip LE collection. Here’s Damn Glamorous and Fashion Revival …
DAMN GLAMOROUS is a bright pink red matte
FASHION REVIVAL is a deep raspberry matte
This did not fade or feather for quite a long time (almost my whole day). It didn’t feel too drying nor was it moisturizing. I find with MAC’s new mattes it is also like a satin matte, not totally shine-free.
Fashion Revival is not quite as pigmented as Damn Glamorous, but I really do love this shade. It’s a deep berry colour that isn’t too dark for my skin tone, just vamp enough to make my green eyes stand out.
Now the formula of this does not feel matte at all, it is a bit more hydrating than the other one (and a bit less matte-looking). After about 20 minutes though, the shine wore off a bit and it was more of a matte finish.
This is after about 2 hours. The shine has worn down (a bit) and the colour has slipped around just a little but it is not patchy in any way. The lipstick also leaves a bit of a stain on removal, a nice berry glow.
THOUGHTS: Both of this lipsticks are now in regular rotation in my collection. I may pick up another shade or two, especially since these are LE and I don’t want buyer’s regret.
The MAC Matte Lip collection is available online now, and surprisingly not sold out. It will be available in stores as of Oct 9!
