MAC’s Instant Artistry videos are coming to life in Toronto!…
For me, third time’s a charm with the Veluxe Pearlfusion formula. When I spotted the MAC Veluxe a Trois collection already out at a few MAC counters (at The Bay in Canada), I decided to give these shadows another try after already reviewing them twice (1st release and Wash & Dry).
What really drew me in was the colours. Claretluxe has 3 gorgeous shades, pearly pink, burgundy red and purple. All are right up my alley, which made giving these another shot totally worth it.
Shown here in indirect sunlight. These are a cream-to-powder formula that have a beautiful metallic finish and can be worn wet or dry.
For this, I started with the burgundy shade on my lid. I spritzed a bit of Fix+ on my brush and patted the shade all over.
I then dry blended the purple shade into the crease and in the outer V. There was a bit of glitter fallout with this one, but I was wearing my trusty Shadow Shields.
Swatched above using a dry brush (2x). I found applying these damp and patting on worked best for a bold deposit of colour and using a dry brush was great for blending. The trick is to cover under your eye so glitter fallout isn’t a problem.
I have definitely changed my mind about the Veluxe Pearlfusion formula. It creates such a beautiful bold, metallic look and is really long-wearing too.
There are six trios in the Veluxe a Trois collection, four of which are available now at TheBay.com in Canada ($30 CAD). The other two will be online exclusives at MACcosmetics.ca, available when the collection releases on August 20.
