More haute-couture goodies! Revlon has released Marchesa-inspired editions of some…
Out of the 5 lipsticks released in the MAC Cosmetics x Giambattista Valli collection, I settled on one, Margherita. And as much as I wanted the whole set, this is the only one I thought would be unique in my own stash of MAC lipsticks. (And I was right).
Margherita is described as a yellow, bright peach with a matte finish.
The packaging is fabulous! I haven’t seen color-coded MAC lipstick tubes, well, EVER. The tube, lid and even the metal is all orange to match the lipstick inside. Even the box has an orange panel in the back.
So as you can see, the closest relative in my stash to Margherita is Revlon’s Audacious, and it is a lot warmer and has more red.
I absolutely love the color of this one, it reminds me of MAC’s Sushi Kiss from the All About Orange collection from a couple years ago. Only Margherita one is a bit more wearable. Application was a bit tricky though and this went on streaky.
I am pretty sure I made my the right decision when choosing Margherita. The shade is unlike anything I have and it’s really soft and pairs well with a neutral eye and sunkissed cheek!
