MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Brow 15 in Blonde + 270 Angled Eyebrow Brush review

MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Brow 15 in Blonde + 270 Angled Eyebrow Brush review

If you’ve been around the blog for awhile, you already know my brow struggle is real. I have seriously sparse brows and most products I use wear off by the end of the day. Enter Make Up For Ever Aqua Brow and the Make Up For Ever Angled Eyebrow Brush. I took this dynamic duo on a test drive (aka bike ride) over the weekend to see if my brows would last through heat and sweat.

Aqua Brow is a highly pigmented gel that enhances and reshapes natural brows. Its superior waterproof formula creates a strong hold while its high concentration of pigments allows for intense color payoff that will not fade. Aqua Brow’s creamy gel texture gives an even, natural result that will last all day.

This formula comes in 7 shades, and I received #15 Blonde, the second fairest (of them all).

The tube may look small, but honestly this is all you need of the gel (if not less).

I apply it like I was painting, slowly spreading the gel out with the brush and mixing it evenly over the bristles. Then I just paint my brow shape on.

This brush is ideal for filling in eyebrows or precise blending of brow pencils for a natural look. It is firm and features straight fibers, which can be used to create dotted effects. The fine tip can even be used to draw individual eyebrow hairs. And I know these Artisan Brushes took 5 years to develop and go through 25 stages of production and are quality checked 50 times!

So these are my brows using Aqua Brow. The color is pretty much spot on with my hair, although a bit warmer than I would like. And the formula is seriously easy to use. It took maybe 5 minutes to even out and get the shape I wanted. I was able to fill in the sparser areas with no issues at all (I have a scar on one of my brows which left a bald patch).

During bike rides in high humidity, this lasted through my 10-hour day with little to no fading. Seriously once this gel sets it is there until you physically remove it with a makeup remover!

Make Up For Ever Aqua Brow and the Angled Eyebrow Brush are both $24 CAD each, available at Sephora.

  • ahhh i really want to try this now! looks great.

    • You can see where I actually have brow hair and don’t. It looks so natural from far away AND it is water-resistant!

  • Tanya Lovetere

I have heard great things about this product.

  • This looks amazing!

  • Love the new layout Julie! I’m crazy for anything MUFE, and the Aqua Brow ranks high on my to-get list! Love love how natural it looks on you!

    • I am going to try one darker I think to see how it looks. It’s tough because I have NO brow hair on the inner part of my brows. But this is a 5 minute quick fix. Love it!

  • I really like this formula, I need to start reaching for it more often!! 🙂

  • I am sure this is pretty ahhMAZING!!

  • Wow, this looks like a keeper! My brows are uber sparse and I’ve been using the Anastasia Brow Powder Duo in Taupe for years. A true HG! But I’m always on the lookout for other goodies- may have to snag a sample 🙂

    • I love how you think your browse are sparse. At least they are reasonably thick! Remember that time I was going to buy a brow pencil first and foremost and bought EVERYTHING ELSE?

      • Haha, it happens! Sometimes lipsticks take precedence 😉 And my brows only look fuller cus they’re super filled in! If you see a makeup-less photo of me, you’ll see 🙂
