Good karma in a box! With Benefit Cosmetic’s Hervana orchid-blossom…
A little blush, highlight and contour goes a long way! So this past weekend, I carried around my Make Up For Ever Artist Face Color duo compact for touch-ups and to test out longevity and durability. These pressed powders come in matte, shimmer and pearl finishes across 34 shades. That’s a lot of colour combos to choose from!
Obsessed! These little mirrored tin compacts are so durable and come in 1, 2 or 3 pan formats.
The duo, which I filled with a contour and blush shade, fits into my palm nicely. And damn is it ever durable. I have a million things in my purse and this compact survived it all!
The two shades I received were S112 (Shadow Sculpt) and S214 (Rosewood blush). Both have a matte finish and are silky smooth.
These are fairly heavy swatches to show colour. You can see there is a slight sheen to the matte finish powders which I love! The contour leaned a bit warm on me, but it’s the perfect shade for anyone with a fair to light skintone.
I used the contour on the hollows of my cheeks as well as around my hairline and I love how subtle the powder looks. No harsh lines as this blends out flawlessly, and it’s nicely pigmented but you won’t have any problems picking up too much colour. The blush is to die for, just velvety and smooth. No accentuated pores and it really did last all night!
The Make Up For Ever Artist Face Color powders are available at Sephora. Plus if you buy 2+ in combination with the palette you save $13 USD/$16 USD on a duo and $25 USD/$33 CAD on a trio!
