Pixi Beauty is a brand I’ve had a crush on…
“I had no idea giving pleasure could be such a turn-on, watching him writhe subtly with carnal longing. My inner goddess is doing the merengue with some salsa moves.”
Yet another excerpt from the book I hate to love and love to hate. Hey, have you heard? Fifty Shades of Grey the movie is on its way! And the best part about that is…. ALL THE AWESOME MAKEUP RELEASES!
Make Up For Ever has put together some stunning sets, my favourite being the Desire Me Cheek Set. This set comes in a drawstring velvet bag with locket and chain accents, inside you’ll find a gorgeous 3-pan Artist Shadow palette (my review of the formula) with three gorgeous shadows that are to be purposed as blush and highlighter. Also included is a travel size blush brush, 150.
“This blush-worthy collection features three cheeky shades, plus an Artisan Powder Brush for expert application. With looks that range from a healthy glow of innocence to a highlighted flush of desire, you can experiment and play with the three color intensities, wearing them alone or blending together to create different looks. The Cheek Trio also includes makeup artist Victoria’s Down’s cheeky looks, techniques, and backstage secrets, and is seductively packaged in a velvet keepsake pouch, to hold your own little secrets.”
S-748 Coral (satin) blush
Very bold and bright orange-y coral blush. This doesn’t have a ton of shimmer in it, so it’s great if you want a matte-like blush. This is also the least pigmented of the bunch.
Travel Precision blush brush in 150
The coral shade is super bold, but when paired with a nice neutral eye and light lip, I think I can pull it off! I used the included brush for the blush and highlight, and as you can see it went on nice and smooth.
THOUGHTS: So $128 worth of product for only $56 (Canadian)? That alone makes it worth grabbing this just to try out the MUFE Artist Shadow formula. Of the 3 shades, I can see myself using the pink and beige the most and the coral colour here and there, I may even try an eye look with it! The other cool thing is that the makeup artist on set for Fifty Shades uses MUFE, so you’re actually creating looks right out of the movie.
“I used MAKE UP FOR EVER every day on the Fifty Shades of Grey set. As a professional makeup artist, I try more than 100 products before I find the right one. I consistently go back to MAKE UP FOR EVER products because of the quality, range of colors, and superior blendability. It’s made with the pros in mind so you can expect performance and quality for everyday wear as well.”
