Like the Ultra HD foundation released earlier this year, Make Up For Ever‘s new Ultra HD Concealer ($32 CAD/$27 USD) is made for today’s 4K world. It’s virtually invisible medium coverage that doesn’t create any flashback on camera and hides and blurs imperfections. Sound pretty good, right?
The Ultra HD Concealer has the coolest applicator I have seen. This rubber nozzle dispenses the perfect amount for you to spread evenly on the skin, then use your fingers or a brush to dab and blend. It keeps your concealer fresh, without any contamination or oxidation.
“ULTRA HD Concealer covers dark circles, unifies the eye contour and hides signs of fatigue, leaving a smooth luminous flawless finish.”
The shade I received, R20, is part of the Colour Correct series made to neutralize dark circles. This is a medium to full coverage depending on how much you blend out, and it wont sink into fine lines.
Ultra HD Concealer comes in 10 shades with two different purposes.
Color Correct: neutralize dark circles with a peach shade
R20: Light Skintones
R22: Light to Medium Skintones
R30: Medium Skintones
R32: Medium to Tan Skintones
R40: Tan Skintones
Conceal: brighten and awaken undereye area:
Y21: Light Skintones
Y23: Light to Medium Skintones
Y31: Medium Skintones
Y33: Medium to Tan Skintones
Y41: Tan Skintones
The best way to use the Ultra HD Concealers is to start with the Colour Correct series to neutralize any dark circles or “blueness”, then follow up with the Conceal series to brighten the eye area. Above is simply the shade R20, a Colour Correct, and it definitely neutralized the dark circles. I can only imagine how great this will look with a Conceal shade on top!
Finished look! My dark circles are (mostly) neutralized thanks to the anti-dark circle complex made with green algae and amino acids. Nothing else on top either, no concealer or powder… maybe a whisper of my foundation. This formula has Lamellar structure pigments that diffuse lights giving the undereye area a blurred look.
I love the consistency and coverage of the Ultra HD Concealer. It’s very natural, pigmented and creamy and doesn’t have any tackiness to it. I am definitely going to play more with the application (adding a Conceal shade, maybe some powder).
