Oops, I did it again. I stole another look with…
Finding a nude lipstick shade that suits my skintone has always been an issue. I often end up looking like a zombie or like I have no lips. But with Marc Jacobs New Nudes Sheer Lip Gel in the shade Role Play, is it possible I’ve found the one?
First, let’s talk a bit about the packaging. If you’ve tried Marc Jacobs Beauty products before, you know the sleek design and sturdy packaging just screams luxury. The magnetic button closure makes it so the lipstick doesn’t pop open in your purse, and the cooling feel of metal in my hands feels like a modern work of art.
The tip of the lipstick is a bit more round than your average lipstick shape. This does make it easier to get even application but can make it a bit trickier if you rely on the edge of your lipstick to make a crisp lip line.
ROLE PLAY is a dusty rose, it leans a bit on the warm/almost brown side.
The formula is freakin’ amazing. It’s a melt on your lips and sink in kind of feeling, mostly because of the velvety monoi oil in the mix. It has a subtle sweet scent and feels simply fantastic on my lips.
So the answer is YES, I have found a perfect neutral nude lip shade in Marc Jacobs New Nudes!
Marc Jacobs New Nudes Sheer Lip Gel is available in 7 shades at Sephora (online here) for $38 CAD/$30 USD.
WHAT’S YOUR PERFECT NUDE LIP SHADE? Is it pink, rose, beige, greige?
