Maybelline Dare to Go Nude Color Sensational Lipsticks in Raw Reveal and Nude Embrace

Maybelline Dare to Go Nude Color Sensational Lipsticks in Raw Reveal and Nude Embrace

The Maybelline Dare to Go Nude collection really embraces the light neutral lip. I picked up 2 of the 4 available Color Sensational lipsticks: Nude Embrace and Raw Reveal.

As with all Color Sensational lipsticks, the formula is creamy and smooth. It lasts quite awhile and has a very pleasant smell.

Raw Reveal Color Sensational lipstick – A warm almost peachy color that is almost the same color as my skin.

This was NOT what I was expecting. It was quite streaky and uneven and it clung to dry patches on my lips. Not a fan of the color on me either. Oh well!

These two limited edition Color Sensational lipsticks are an addition to the line called “The Buffs” (see my review on Untainted Spice from the permanent line).

My thoughts: Nude Embrace is my new fave lipstick. It’s so subtle and really evens out the color of my lips. Raw Reveal, I am going to ditch it.

The Maybelline Dare to Go Nude collection is out now for a limited time. There are 2 other shades not shown here: Ravishing Rose (a light pink) and Barely Bronze (a warm metallic rose bronze).

See the rest of my reviews on the collection!

  • the first one is so pretty! the second one… yikes!

  • Tanya Lovetere

I love the first shade. Love neutral pinks. Neutral tan-ish colors..not so much. I got the Viva Glam Gaga Lipstick (the Nude one) and I just hated how it looked on my. I looked dead lol. Thanks for sharing.

  • Thanks for sharing…I haven’t picked up any of these lipsticks, although I do have one of the permanent line that I’m going to destroy for a depotting tutorial. Nudes are hard to do well…I’m glad you found a match with Nude Embrace!

    • That skintone nude is terrible. I’ve never found a real nude color I like.

  • I got a few of these today, don’t remember what shade but I definitely like nude embrace 🙂

    • Yea Nude Embrace is definitely a keeper. I wanted to get the bronze one but they were sold out!

  • wooooolly…. yea not sure raw reveal is your color…

  • Nude Embrace is perfection on you! Glad you scored a winner there! I’m still pining for Stormy Sahara…might be hitting up CVS tomorrow for a quick Maybelline haul! Cheers, Julie!

    • I know I LOVE IT! I also have Truffle Tease from the perm line and it is lovely.

  • Nude Embrace looks great and natural on you!

  • Chelsea LeBlanc

Nude Embrace is so gorgeous on you! I know a lot of people talk about their “your lips but better” color, & I think you’ve definitely got a winner here!

  • Megan Joy

Nude embrace looks lovely on you! I find those pale nudes are so hard to wear. I bought (and then never used) so many lipsticks trying to find a nude that doesn’t make me look crazy.

  • I love how you use the other products in the collection in your pictures. A full on view!

    • It’s so much easier to do a big amount of reviews if it’s all on my face at once!

  • Nude Embrace looks really pretty!

  • I think the mauve one is much more flattering! I love a good nude but I can’t do one that matches my skintone that well!

  • I wanted these colors so bad when I saw they were released but unfortunately for me, it was too late and they weren’t being sold anymore. Nude Embrace looks great on you!
