Remember that time Milani Cosmetics released their Rose Powder blush,…
I may not have big plans for New Year’s Eve this year, just a few friends coming over to my place, but that doesn’t mean I can’t glam it up! Inglot Cosmetics sent over a few of their bestsellers for me to try, and I think the look I created is perfect for a night out… or in!
If you ask a group of beauty bloggers what their go-to gel eyeliner is, and I have asked, a large portion will say Inglot AMC Eyeliner Gel in 77 Black. This formula is silky smooth, insanely pigmented and it does NOT budge whatsoever once it dries. Now I suck at a winged liner, but this is perfect to enhance and darken my lashline.
What Inglot is really well known for is their Freedom System palettes and pans. I like to create themed palettes (quads, trios, 5-pans), but I have never tried their duo compacts. This comes with a sponge-tipped applicator and a mirror! Shades included were 397 Pearl, a pink opal shade before for highlighting, and 302 Matte, a gorgeous and buttery wine shade.
And then there’s the true star of the show, the AMC Pure Pigment in shade 86. This duo chrome pigment powder goes from bronzey gold to hot fuchsia purple.
Double swatches above. You can see how pigmented and gorgeous all three shades are!
I used all three shadows for this look, starting with the pearl shade as a base. I did have to add a transition warm beige matte shade above the crease just to blend the matte wine/burgundy into. Can you believe how dark and smooth that liner is?
After applying the shadows, I patted the Pure Pigment shadow on the lid. There was a little bit of fallout, but that’s to be expected.
Here you can see the gold to pink shift in studio light.
And here’s the shift in indirect daylight. You can really see the bronze/gold on the blurry, unfocused side.
And here’s the complete look! Perfectly paired with a vamp lip, this one is Marc Jacobs Bad Behaviour.
You can grab any of these products from the permanent collection online or in stores. If you’re in the Toronto area, check out the Yonge/Dundas, Sherway Gardens and Markville Mall stores too!
