If you’re into dewy, radiant skin, I’ve got the perfect combination…
It’s film fest time here in Toronto, something I prepare for (and volunteer at) all year long. 10 days of movie premieres, celebs, parties and selfies, so I wanted to share my favourite red carpet look of the moment featuring goodies from Clarins and Makeup Revolution.
I started my look with the Clarins 4-Colour Eyeshadow Palette in Rosewood because it’s gorgeous! Plus, it comes in a little red velvet pouch that just makes me feel fancy. These mineral shadows are really soft and smooth too.
No fallout, easy to blend and freakin’ stunning. I’ve never met a Clarins shadow I haven’t loved.
I decided to keep my lashes soft, full and flirty with Clarins Supra Volume Mascara in Intense Brown. This has panthenol in the formula to help keep lashes strong and long too.
I like how the eye look turned out: shimmery, flattering and subtle. I knew I would be pairing this with a bold red lip and killer highlight so I wanted to complement my eyes without overdoing it.
The shades in the Rosewood palette are ultimately flattering on blue, green or slight hazel eyes like mine. These are soft taupe purples that can help you create a pretty and defined gradient look.
I have been waiting for a special occasion to wear the Makeup Revolution Rose Gold lipstick in Red Carpet. And at only $5 a pop, these Rose Gold lipsticks come in a super pretty bullet that reminds me a bit of the Charlotte Tilbury ones too.
With all the red carpets popping up all over the city, I think the film fest is exactly the right time to pull out this highly pigmented and creamy bold red.
If you follow me on Insta, you already got a sneak of this palette yesterday. I have been testing the Makeup Revolution Golden Sugar 2 palette out all weekend (separate review to come), and it is so versatile good for blush, contour, highlight and eyeshadow. It’s only $10!
The top row has a pretty mauve blush, a peach highlight, light gold highlight and a tan contour/bronzer shade. The highlights are a bit glittery but PERFECT for red carpet season.
The bottom row is perfection. It has a champagne highlight, pink shimmer blush, copper bronze highlight/glitter and deeper bronze or contour shade. I am seriously impressed with these contour shades, they feel so soft and buttery. The shimmer highlights in this row were a bit chunky as well, but still workable.
Here’s the finished look wearing the Clarins Rosewood shadow, MUR Red Carpet lipstick and essentially the entire top row from the MUR palette. I was very impressed with the longevity of all these products too… 7 hours and no fading except for the lips.
What’s your go to red carpet look?
