Over the holidays, I did a lot of cleaning and…
These brushes look familiar don’t they? The Sephora Collection Glitter Happy Brush Set ($106 CAD) reminds me a lot of the coveted Real Techniques Bold Metal line. It’s even synthetic just like the RT ones. And I love that this comes with its own glittery stand.
“This set contains all the brushes you need to create any full-face look. Brushes feature metal handles that easily fit in the hand and feature an elegant, limited-edition rose gold color. The bristles are silky-soft and have unique coloring and sheen due to the 24K gold infusion process. All the bristles have been treated with anti-bacterial solution.”
The stand is a hard clear acrylic with rose gold hex glitter encased inside.
Each brush has a rose gold ferrule with a long handle. It feels very elegant and artistic to hold these in your hand.
The set contains:
- Blush Brush
- Pointed Foundation Brush
- Blending Brush
- Pointed Concealer Brush
- Allover Shadow Brush
- Lip Brush
The Blush Brush is the perfect size to swirl and sweep blush on the apples of your cheeks. The hairs are very, very soft but not too dense so you pick up just enough product.
The Pointed Foundation Brush has bristles that are soft but a bit more dense and firm. This is pretty decent and gets into the nooks and crevices of your face really well. It was a bit scratchy but much better than the MAC one I have.
The Blending Brush is only ok. I find it’s too flimsy to really properly blend. I actually use this as a highlight brush and it is fantastic for that.
Ok the Pointed Concealer Brush is LEGIT. I use this every day under my eyes and it blends my concealer like nothing else.
The Allover Shadow Brush is nice and dense but still soft. I use this to apply shimmer products (usually by patting) on the lid and into the crease. It’s also nice to use under the brows as a highlight brush.
And this Lip Brush, oh how I love thee. The pointed tip makes defining my cupid’s bow really easy. It is pretty dense too, so you can get a lot of product on there in one go.
I was fairly skeptical about is set going in, but I am happy to report it is amazing. The bristles are surprisingly soft and smooth. Plus I have experienced ZERO bristle fallout!
