“Strobing” may be a new term, but using shimmery highlight…
It’s that time of year again. HOLIDAY PALETTE TIME! This Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush palette is my first of many this season. And since I’ve never owned a Tarte blush before, I figured this was a good introduction.

Now, onto the palette itself. It costs $50 CAD (or $42 USD). Each of the 4 blushes, 1 bronzer are 0.158 oz.
Not bad considering a full size blush is 0.2 oz. and costs $31 CAD ($26 USD).
The packaging feels pretty high-end, although the outer fabric is a bit garish. The size of the blushes themselves are a bit awkward to work with as your brush may pick up what’s on the other side.
Crave – described as a pinky peach, this bright coral blush is absolutely stunning on fair skin! (exclusive to this palette)
Dazzled – described as soft rose. This one is a bit of a glitter bomb and is actually more plum. A bit less silk than the others.
Darling – described as nude melon, it leans a bit orange on me and can run dark on fair skin. Good for a night out.
Dollface – described as a light pink, this is my fave of the bunch. Gives me doll cheeks!
Park Avenue Princess – a medium bronzer, very silky but a bit too dark for me. Great for contouring.
Final verdict? This is good if you’ve never purchased a Tarte blush. The blushes are really gorgeous and long-lasting, and the palette is really good value and would make a fantastic gift. But if you have a few Tarte blushes in your arsenal, stick to the full-size. The colours may be a bit hit and miss for you (especially the bronzer).
Favourite blush of the bunch? DOLLFACE! Buy the full-size at Sephora! ($31 CAD).
