What I love most about LUSH Bath Bombs is that…
I’ve seen the future, and it’s beautiful. This fall, The Body Shop will be releasing a whole lot of goodness, from new skincare innovations to revamped packaging and designs! I got a sneak preview last week of everything, and I am so excited to share it all with you.
OILS OF LIFE – Intensely Revitalizing Skincare
This tri-blend of powerful oils will breathe life back into your skin:
– Black Cumin Seed Oil from the Egyptian Nile Valley is high in antioxidants
– Camelia Seed Oil from the Evergreen Trees of China is rich in nutritive oleic acids
– Rosehip Seed Oil from the Andes Foothills of Chile has Omega 3s and 6s
The product I am probably most excited about is the Essence Lotion ($22 CAD), a popular skincare format in Asia. This replaces the role of your toner, leaving your skin soft and ready for the next step in your routine.
There are also two different face creams in this line: a Gel Cream (good for during the day) and a thicker Cream (both $34 CAD).
I tried both of these on the back of my hand and immediately saw a difference. The gel cream is really light and leaves a dewy glow behind. The cream is a bit thicker and very hydrating.
The Facial Oil ($44 CAD) is your in-between step, after toning and before cream. This is 99% oil so you only need a drop or two. Used daily, this will decrease the signs of aging and significantly moisturize your skin.
THE SPA OF THE WORLD – the most treasured ancient beauty rituals from the four corners of the world.
The Body Shop wants you to turn you bathroom into a “spa-throom”, get it? There are a lot of new products coming out in this range from milk baths and massage oils to scrubs, creams and body clay.
While there was no body clay, milk bath or massage oil on hand, I did get to experience some pampering with two scrubs: Dead Sea Salt Scrub ($30 CAD) designed to resurface your skin and African Ximenia Scrub ($30 CAD) made with oils from the “Tree of Life”.
If your skin needs a little TLC, the Hawaiian Kukui Rich Nurturing Cream ($35 CAD) with nut extracts used for centuries to treat sunsoaked skin or the Japanese Camellia Velvet Moisture Body Cream ($35 CAD) used by women since the 8th century to soften and moisturize their skin.
The Polynesian Monoi Radiance Oil is a steal at $20 CAD. These magical dry oil drops smell like a day on the beach but not in the artificial way. They leave skin looking radiant and healthy.
More Spa of the World goodies include Himalayan Charcoal Body Clay, Moroccan Rhassoul Body Clay, French Lavender Massage Oil, Thai Lemongrass Massage Oil, Tahitian Orchid Massage Oil, Egyptian Milk & Honey Bath.
THE VOYAGE COLLECTION – infused with the finest, natural ingredients around the world.
Now you may be familiar with most of these scents already, but did you spot something new?
“Kiss French, Wear Italian”
Italian Summer Fig is made with fresh figs ripened under the Tuscan sun, this has a bittersweet harmony of green leaves, sweet and tart fruit and woody notes. These figs are wrapped in green leaves, crocus, Tuscan rose, Amber and Oakwood to give you the true vibe of sitting under a fig tree by the ocean.
The scent is also available in body mist, cream, lotion and shower gel, perfect for layering!
All of the Fall products will be available beginning late September, early October.
Also, did you know that The Body Shop’s Tea Tree Oil has been a cult classic for 20 years now? To celebrate they will be releasing the oil in a new, larger format of 20mL. Available in August.
