You may have noticed my new obsession is Nudestix. And…
The Body Shop’s party-ready makeup collection is full of glitter and shimmer and even some stars! Whether you’re going out to a holiday party or just want to add a little holiday flare to your look, these products are gonna get you feelin’ that festive spirit!
These medium-sized glitters are only $10 and really pack a lot of sparkle and shine. There are two shades available: pink (magenta) and gold. Although the Glitter Dusts are NOT rated to be eye safe, I took my chances.
You do need to use glitter glue to adhere the glitter on your skin. The size is probably a bit too chunky for your eyes, to be honest, but it would look great in your hair (glitter roots!) or on your cheekbones.
The two shades combined look amazing from far away (up close there is a bit of glitter fallout on the upper lid that looks kind of messy though).
The Star Stamp Liner is probably my favourite liner right now. It has a felt tip on one end and a small star stamp on the other.
The felt tip is a fairly thick liner, and I had no problem creating a nice, pigmented black line. It doesn’t feather and it stays put all day.
I LOVE THIS STAR STAMP! It really lets me channel my inner Kat Von D. Pro tip: press this on the skin lightly. If you apply too much pressure, you will get a bit of the stamp’s circle edge.
And even though I suck at liner, this one worked!
For the holidays, The Body Shop has released six metallic liquid lipsticks. These are ultra creamy and feel like velvet on. I started my look with Scarlet Steel, a bright classic red with a metallic finish.
I then patted a bit of the Rose Gold shade on the centre of my lips.
This liquid lip creates a really soft lip line because of its velvet texture. I love the finish!
I wanted to add some over-the-top shimmer to my cheekbones, so I actually used The Body Shop’s Sparkling Body Shimmer Puff, a loose pink powder packed with glitter used to dust all over your body.
I absolutely love how this look came out, and I admit when I wore this out to the mall I definitely turned a few dozen heads.
