My thick, wavy, unruly hairs needs help. It’s sort of…
I am a bit of a dry shampoo junkie. I have a small collection of powders and sprays in my stash, from Batiste to Julep to Bumble & Bumble to Cake. All have their pros and cons, and none are 100% perfect. So when I’m testing out a new dry shampoo, I have A LOT of reference to compare it to.
I received COLAB Sheer Invisible dry shampoo from my friends at Farley Co Beauty in two different scents. I have never heard of the brand or Ruth Crilly from A Model Recommends (the mind behind this new product), but after some quick research I am now addicted to her blog (she has an adorable light ginger kitty!).
Sheer Invisible Dry Shampoo in Rio (Tropical) – $5.50 CAD
A tropical fragrance with a carnival of tropical notes of papaya, pineapple and a heart of cassis. I LOVE this scent, it’s sweet and fruity and a bit tart.
Sheer Invisible Dry Shampoo in London (Classic) – $5.50 CAD
London, a classic, yet contemporary fragrance of bergamot, musk and magnolia. This just smelled a bit powdery to me, not very detectable, just fresh.
The formula is really lightweight and doesn’t leave a white powder behind (unless you spray too close or spray too much). As you can see it absorbed a little bit of oil and shine from my hair, leaving it almost exactly the way it was, with just a bit more oomph
This doesn’t provide any extra volume like other dry shampoos do, but it’s not supposed to. COLAB has an Extreme Volume version of this shampoo that boosts your roots. And I just picked that one up at Winners too… which obviously means I like this and YES I would purchase it myself!
