Last fall, MAC Cosmetics released the Vamplify lipgloss formula for a…
Generation Beauty makes its first-ever stop in Toronto next weekend and I am so excited! Not only do I get to hang out for two days with some of my favourite bloggy blog friends, but there’s also going to be swag, swag and more swag, AND I may even get to meet some of the world’s top beauty Youtubers.
To add to all this excitement, one of my fave brands is going to be on site, essence cosmetics. They were kind enough to send me some goodies to help me get ready and look good for the weekend.
The first step to a perfect makeup look are these two crayons right here: essence has just released a line of perfectors and correctors! I use the pink “brightening” crayon on any dark shadows under my eyes and the concealer crayon (shown here in shade 30 Natural Beige) on any imperfections like age spots and breakouts. These have a thicker, almost tacky formula and stay all day.
Next up, the eyes. Now I love some warm and shimmery shades, so I opted for the all about nude eyeshadow palette with a hit of smokin’ bold liner using the smokey 2 in 1 khol. I finished the look off with I <3 Extreme volume mascara which gave me big, badass lashes.
And of course, I can’t live without a bit of sparkle. This is essence metal glam shadow in choco-chic, a creamy gel-like shadow packed with shimmery pigments. I popped this on the lid for a bit of extra “jazz”.
Here’s the finished eye look. I used the warm grape shade from the palette in the crease and the vanilla shimmer in the inner corner.
I then patted the metal glam shadow on the lid and finished off with a thick, bold smoky kohl liner. The liner has a bit of slip to it, so make sure to prime your lids beforehand.
After using my go-to NYX Micro Brow pencil, I set my brows using the new essence make me brow, similar to Benefit’s Gimme Brow! The shade I received was a bit too light, but the formula is amazing.
For the lips, I decided to go for a berry shade with essence cosmetics lipliner in a girl’s dream and longlasting lipstick in i am yours. The lipstick sets to a beautiful satin formula that feels really comfortable and hydrated. It’s not transfer-proof but it did stay on practically all day.
To add some warmth to my super fair complexion, I used sun club bronzer in sunloved. I love essence bronzers because they smell like the beach.
The finished look! I topped my cheekbones off with the light pink shimmer from the palette, because shadows aren’t just for the eyes, am I right? I like how this all came together and this will probably be my easy, breezy Sunday look.
Will I see you at Generation Beauty next weekend?
