IMATS Toronto 2017 haul!

IMATS Toronto 2017 haul!

IMATS is back in Toronto for another year, and this time it’s a few months earlier! At this point, I’ve been to about ten IMATS shows over the years and you can read my coverage here. I decided to do a quick haul post to show you what I got and give you a heads up on the discounts since IMATS is running tomorrow too.

First, we started at the Suva Beauty booth. This Canadian company is known for their high quality bold shadows. They are about the size of Sugarpill and have a similar formula. This custom palette was $103 CAD all in, but the best deal at the booth are the premade ones for $50 CAD.

I also picked up two Hydra Liners for $11.50 CAD each (about 50% off!!!). These are water activated and don’t budge on your eyes once they set.

Next, we headed to the Kat Von D booth. There is always a great discount (I think it was 30% for pro and press). This year the booth was a bit smaller, they didn’t give out any samples in line or with purchase and… the line was painfully slow. I was able to grab three of the new Glimmer Veil shades though at a discount and the Studded Kiss lipsticks were on sale 50% off!!

Royal & Langnickel is always one of my first stops, and again they did not disappoint. I bought a bunch of brushes from their new Moda Metallics line ranging from $5-8 CAD. What a steal!

Every IMATS show, my friends rave about Lit glitters. So this year I caved and bought a kit. For $50 CAD I got 3 glitters, 2 brushes and a large glitter base.

Yes, I was surprised there was a Lipsense distributor at IMATS, too. But honestly, even though Lipsense is an MLM company, I am hooked on these. The application is a bit irritating but these shades really do stay on ALL DAY LONG. If you’re looking to try this out, contact Gloss Boss Beauties.

I’ve been following Smith Cosmetics for years and never actually stopped at their booth. This brand is out of Calgary (I had no idea) and are most known for their “Smithfolio” brush binders. I grabbed a couple brushes to try out and the quality is phenomenal.

Last but not least, my random weird purchase of the day, this water-based SFX paint. You can use them separate or together for a rainbow ombre. This split pan was only $10 CAD, so I couldn’t resist.

So there’s my haul! I’m definitely very happy with some of the deals I got, but remember if you’re going to IMATS… bring cash! A lot of vendors will charge you the USD equivalent if you use credit. (But also bring credit because KVD beauty doesn’t take cash).

IMATS Toronto runs tomorrow as well starting 10 am. Pick up your tickets here!
