What’s soft, sturdy and less than $4 each? The new…
I own at least 20 MAC brushes, some that I use every day… and this is one of them. If you want soft, chiseled cheekbones, the MAC Cosmetics 138 Tapered Face Brush is nearly foolproof.
“A domed brush of ultra-soft, natural fibres featuring a slightly pointed tip with round chiselled sides. Specially designed to streamline and enhance the makeup technique of sculpting and shaping. Use chiselled side for contour shaping of facial planes; the pointed tip for applying and blending powder blush, highlighter or face powder.”
This is made in Japan with natural fibres and a sturdy wooden handle. The domed, pointed shape helps to “sink in” to your cheekbones and define without any harsh lines or the need for excessive blending. The fibres are soft and the quality is astounding. I have had this brush for almost 4 years now, and after using it nearly every day it still looks almost like new.
How I use it:
I pat one side of the brush into my blush a couple times and start from the outside of my face right under the cheekbone and work my way in and down.
On my face:
Urban Decay Pulp Fiction eyshadow palette
Makeup Geek Spellbound blush
The MAC Cosmetics 138 Tapered Face Brush is $63 CAD (the second most expensive brush in my arsenal, but worth every penny).
