With so many MAC collections coming out right now, it’s…
With everyone now embracing pinky-brown nudes and earthy plum and wine shades, I decided to dig through my makeup draw to see how “cool before it was cool” I really am.
Turns out, Marsala-inspired makeup has been my thing for quite awhile! Not only is my fave eyeshadow (shown below) a shade away from it, but I have loads of lip products that are close dupes for the Sephora Pantone collection. Like MAC Cosmetics Morning Coffee Pro Longwear Lip Pencil.
“A new generation of longwearing lip pencil technology. Glides on fluidly and adheres instantly. Defines the lips with an instant release of rich, saturated colour. Pro-longs the hours between re-application. Transfer proof.”
MORNING COFFEE is described as dirty rose, and it has a hint of brick mixed in.
The pencil really glides flawlessly over my lips and provides a nice base to help glossy or creamy lipsticks stay on longer.
On its own, I actually LOVE how it looks and feels. Typically filling my lips in with pencil would result in flaky skin and discomfort, but this pencil feels like a creamy lipstick and it dries down matte. It also stays put FOR HOURS!
I’m so glad I decided to dive through my makeup collection as I was reminded of how many amzing products I have, and LOTS that are close to the Color of the Year (stay tuned for a round-up of that).
MAC Cosmetics Pro Longwear Lip Pencils are $24 CAD available at any MAC counter or online at MACcosmetics.com.
