If you’re into dewy, radiant skin, I’ve got the perfect combination…
Yep, you read that right. These gorgeous eyeshadow quads are from Mary Kay! The Limited Edition Pure Dimensions Eye Palettes come in three colour combos and designs that are both stunning and unique. But how did they perform? Scrolly scroll to find out more.
First up is Paris Starlight. Right out of the box, this was my favourite design and colour combo. I mean, look at that geometric pattern and the pretty purple.
The finger swatches turned out really well too… but… I attempted to wear this quad twice now and the purple just did NOT show up. The downside of the pretty pattern stamped on the shade is you sometimes have to dampen your brush to get the colour to stick (which made blending a mess).
I had better luck with the other two quads though!
Moroccan Dunes is a beautiful soft and feminine quad. I do wish there was a matte in here for in the crease, but I made do.
The shade combo reminds me of neopolitan ice cream! The formula for these is really soft with no fall out. There’s a ton of shimmer here but nothing overly glittery.
Using all four shades, I was able to create a dimensional look. I really love how that dark brown applied.
I applied these all dry and the payoff is great!
Worn here on a particularly lazy day, I love how this look is simple and easy.
I paired this with a natural pinky blush and, of course, a pearly highlight on my cheekbones. Because I never leave my house without highlight. This wore well over primer all day with no fading or creasing.
Maui Gardens has two of the most gorgeous jewel-toned shades I have ever seen.
Sadly the blue didn’t swatch as beautifully as I had hoped, but the other shades are on point.
To achieve this look, I used the blue, green and deep brown blended dry in the crease. I had to add a matte warm shade as a transition just to make this work.
On the lid, I dampened my brush a bit to get more of colour payoff with the blue to green. The gold I didn’t need to apply damp because it was so rich and buttery.
For this look, I did my brows a bit more bold than usual just to balance out the smokiness. I am really pleased with how the transition on the lid turned out.
There was a ton of fallout on the blue shade, but after a little cleanup I was able to get a nice crisp line on the outer v. Gorgeous!
I would definitely recommend the Maui Gardens quad if you don’t mind apply shades damp, and of course the Moroccan Sands is perfect for a neutral shimmer eye. Grab the Mary Kay Pure Dimension quads online for $46 CAD or from your Mary Kay rep!
