Flamingo Park is one of MAC’s Spring 2016 collections, and it’s…
It’s already the last Sunday of the month! Wow, time flies when you’re having blog fun! Here are MY personal faves from the Canadian Beauty Bloggers team for May.
Natalie Loves Beauty – Natural Beauty Products Haul + Video!
Our featured Blog of the Month! This is Natalie’s 2nd Vlog and I can’t wait for her to do more. Plus, this post has opened my eyes to a world of all-natural brands I had never heard of!
Beyond Blush – Wedding Wednesday: ENGAGEMENT!
Laura’s getting married!!! On her recent trip to China with her man, he proposed at the Great Wall! How freakin’ cool is that? This post is the beginning of many Wedding Wednesday posts from her. I can’t wait to tune in and watch her wedding plans progress. Congrats girl!
Chantal’s Corner – Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Stretch Mark Line
When Chantal showcased all the stretch mark products she had tried out in her March Pregnancy Diary, the Palmer’s Cocoa Butter was her favourite. It was a great review and, of course, I wanted to hear more about the entire line. In this post, she takes you on an in-depth journey of each product and now I am obsessed with the Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Oil!
Cosmetic Proof – Olaf from Frozen Nail Art!
Ok so Jayne is amazing at nail art. Like seriously talented and creative. This month, she created Olaf from Frozen on her nails using, my fave, Revlon ColorStay Gel Envy nail polish.
Exquisitely Chic – Essence Bloom Me Up
Beautiful photos, a great in-depth review and a stunning manicure. Need I say more?
Fun Size Beauty – Festival Hair and Makeup + Giveaway
This month, it was particularly tough to narrow down my fave post by Steph. She did some amazing nail art, a few fantastic lipstick swatch fests, and the most adorable Shu Uemura look recreation. But.. this festival look she created was simple, clean and really spoke to my inner concert girl.
Ivory Avenue – DesignHer Kit
I had heard about the DesignHer Kit boxes when they had a crowdfunding campaign but I was scared I wouldn’t be crafty enough. Well, Natalie shows us all how easy it can be to make super cute jewellery on her blog this month!
Just J – Vancouver’s Native Shoes
I am all for comfortable fashion, which is why I am usually sporting slip-on sneakers. When Jordana posted about this local Vancouver shoe company that made comfy, stylish and anti-bacterial rubber shoes, I knew I had to get a pair. (I want these ones, what do you think?)
Kalyn Lord – LIFE HACK: Office Nail Art Supplies
Another tough choice (and it was a toss up between this one and a post dedicated to Ryan Gosling memorabilia). Kalyn gives us some good DIY solutions for doing nail art either at the office or even at home when you can’t find your nail kit… because that happens to me.
Megan Joy – NYX Macaron lipsticks!
It was only a matter of time before one of us grabbed these odd shades of lipsticks. Megan shows off colours like mint green and baby blue on her lips! (And she still looks great doin’ it).
My Beauty Full Adventure – FOTD: Atomic Surf
Chelsey created a natural and stunning look around the most gorgeous teal blue Annabelle Smudge Liner. And OMG her lashes are to die for!
Nicole About Town – NEST Eau de Parfum Coffret
When Nicole described this set of perfumes, I think we were all sold (and I know one of the CBB ladies went out and bought these based on Nicole’s review!). I am not much of a fragrance person, but even I want to grab this set of wonderful fragrances.
Scarlet Beauty – Bite Agave Lip Mask
Now I have been curious about this lip mask since it came out. I’ve heard good quick reviews but never anything indepth that would justify the high price tag. After Jenn’s review, I WAS SOLD!
The Happy Sloths – Revlon Shiny Matte Nail Art
When I saw the black matte and silver stud nail look Jasmine created, I was dying. It reminded me of an old biker jacket I had in University. My inner punk chick rejoiced.
Workaday Ramblings – Replicating Eyeliner Tattoo
I’m sure we’ve all seen those cheap eyeliner tattoos at the Dollar store. Personally, I’ve always been too hesitant to try them out. Well Sarah did and found out it is much easier (and looks way better) to just use the tattoos as inspiration for a creative eye look!
Writing Whimsy – MoYou Premium Nail Polish Set
Zoe tries out nail art stamping with this deluxe kit of polishes, plates and nail tools. Her first experience with nail stamping was a bust, so luckily this MoYou kit was really high quality… and the results are fantastic!
A Beautiful Zen – PSA: Glitter Unicorns
Another one of Jenn’s thought-provoking PSAs, this time on the appropriate use of glitter makeup (which has encouraged me to just screw it and wear more glitter).
