Wet n Wild 2015 Brush Collection review

Wet n Wild 2015 Brush Collection review

What’s soft, sturdy and less than $4 each? The new Wet n Wild 2015 brush collection! Available as of February 2015, these brushes will be hitting shelves at your local retailer next week. And you may be thinking, “How good can a brush really be at less than four bucks?”

Let me tell you how good…

Wet n Wild Brushes base
The 3 brushes are made with sturdy wood handles that fit perfectly in your hand. The brush ferrules are metal and don’t feel cheap or thin.

Wet n Wild Brushes size
Size is a little shorter than like a MAC or NARS brush, making these a perfect fit for in your makeup bag.

Wet n Wild In Your Shadow Eyeshadow Brush
IN YOUR SHADOW eyeshadow brush – $1.99 CAD
Made from natural goat hairs but still PETA-certified and cruelty-free. Bristles are short, rounded and soft. These are densely packed so you can get a nice concentrated amount of product on your lid, perfect for patting that shadow on. I have been using this with cream and mousse shadow products with great success.

This is a great everyday shadow brush that I have now assigned to my deep coloured Paint Pots and Color Tattoos.

Wet n Wild Build a Foundation Brush
This one is made from synthetic fibres that are both firm and soft; the perfect balance for applying and blending liquid and cream foundations. I put this up against my Real Techniques foundation brush and it performed just as well.

Daily use: evening out my Face Atelier foundation. Does well blending around the nose and down into the chin.

Wet n Wild The Louder Powder Brush
Made with natural goat hairs (and has the same PETA-certified and cruelty-free status as the other one). These rounded bristles are really soft and are maybe a medium-level density. This could be a workhorse brush for a wide variety of applications: pressed foundation powder, loose setting powder, highlight. But I prefer it for blush.

My favourite way to use the Louder Powder brush is with my powder blushes. This is the perfect size, shape and density to swirl blush in circles on the apples of my cheeks.

So far, these have survived several trips to the gym and 2 brush washes with no major fallout or damage. Pretty impressive for the price. Next time you’re at the drugstore with a few dollars to spare, I would defintely recommend picking up these brushes!
